My journey to Pilates started quite simply; being a long distance runner in year-round training I was looking to incorporate other fitness programs that were fun and beneficial to my overall physical health. Enter Pilates. I started taking classes and quickly fell in love. More than just being a student, I wanted to share all that I was learning with others.
In 2011, I became certified to teach Mat and Reformer classes through Mira Costa College, as well as completing my personal training certification through the National Association of Sports Medicine. After teaching primarily Reformer classes and training private clients, I enrolled in the Body, Arts and Science International (BASI) teacher training program and was re-introduced to the “Crown Jewel” of the Pilates repertoire—Mat Work. In 2016, I completed BASI’s Mat Program.
I look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for Pilates with you.
